It is a typical unilateral protectionist economic hegemony that is widely opposed by the international community. China strongly condemns this.

We must reiterate that there are no winners in trade wars and tariff wars, and protectionism has no way out. The Chinese do not cause trouble, nor are they afraid of it. Pressure, threats and blackmail are not the right way to deal with China. China will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard its legitimate rights and interests.
